Light up the room with this fun and adorable jellyfish! With his bouncy stingers to his beautiful colors, this little guy is a show stopper! This super fun and happy jellyfish is an advanced beginner/intermediate pattern. The pattern is in US terminology.
The stitches you will need to know how to do are:
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
MR – magic ring
inc – increase
dec – decrease
FLO – front loop only
sl st – slip stitch
You will also need to know how to sew crochet pieces together.
The materials you will need are:
~Weight 5 bulky velvet yarn (about 92 yards). This is for the head.
~Worsted weight 4 variegated/multicolored yarn (about 120 yards). This is
for the stingers and used in conjunction with the head.
~18 mm safety eyes
~Weight 4 black yarn for the smile (only need about 5 inches of that yarn)
~5 mm hook
~6.5 mm hook
~Stuffing
~Darning needle/tapestry needle
~Stitch markers (optional)
Pattern difficulty level: Beginner
If the plushie is made using the recommended materials, it comes out to be about 11 inches tall, and 4.5 inches wide & deep. However, the size of the plushie can be effected by using different hook sizes, different yarn sizes, and tension.
This pattern is super fun to work up, and the jellyfish adds so much color and life to any area!
